Privacy and security
This website is secured using a Secure Sockets Layer-protocol, and it was awarded a security certificate from Belnet. The certificate confirms the user’s identity and encrypts all communication between the Swab2know server and the user’s computer.
An account on the website is personal and linked to an email address.
You will only be identifiable via your personal code. You will remain anonymous in this study. The statistical analyses of data will be done anonymously and no identifying information will be used as part of the reports or files, published or otherwise.
After the study has been completed, all identifiers will be deleted from the database in order to safeguard anonymity.
You have the right to ask us which data will be collected within the framework of the study and its meaning. You also have the right to ask the contact person to allow you to examine your personal information and, if needed, to adapt or delete your personal information. The protection of personal data was legally established in the Belgian Royal Decree of 8 December 1992 concerning the protection of personal privacy.
This study received approval from the independent Medical Ethical Commission of University Hospital Antwerp.
